Online Burlesque Shows across Australia

By April 17, 2020No Comments

The isolation cabin fever has been setting in for many around Australia and the world. No matter how many Online Burlesque Classes you might be doing, there’s probably a part of you that is sick of binge watching Netflix, Stan, or Disney + and just want to watch some burlesque. Well you’re in luck, because Australia, along with the rest of the world, have been stepping up and moving to online burlesque shows!

Supporting Online Burlesque Shows in Australia

Many are free or have donation or pay what you can, others are ticketed with exclusive show access for audiences. So here’s a list of shows and entertainments online from across Australia for your isolation entertainment. Have you got a show or entertainment you’d like added to this list? Simply Contact Me or send me a Facebook or Instagram message with the details to be added!

Bedtime stories with Alyssa Kitt – Ticketed or ‘pay what you can’ online reading

Alyssa Kitt is one of Australia’s leading sex positive performers and activists. She is cracking open her golden notebooks and reading some of her very own naughty non-fiction. Join Alyssa on Zoom for her reading of her very first piece of self-love erotica, then a hosted discussion about skin hunger during isolation and a Q&A fostering ongoing sexual-self connection!
Currently it’s a one off show, but I won’t be surprised if this becomes a regular late night fixture.

Read more and book on the Feminist Fatale website and follow Alyssa Kitt on Instagram for details.

The Burlesque Blender – Free weekly creative participation

A fun concept created by Brisbane’s Lydia Grim, the Burlesque Blender is an opportunity to show off your creative flair. Each week a song is chosen and cut up in to 15-20 second segments. Participants can volunteer to create a video performance to a section of the song, which at the end of the week is edited back together to create one performance art piece to the whole song, and shared in The Burlesque Blender group. It’s just for fun and let’s performers create!

Request to join The Burlesque Blender facebook group to watch past songs and put your hand up to participate if you want.
