The Muse School of Burlesque is ‘Delite’d to see one of their own return to the fray, AND take on Wollongong’s biggest charity dance event, the Wave FM Stars of Wollongong competition.

After a Breast Cancer diagnosis and treatment resulting in 4 years away from the burlesque artform, Kate Gurd aka Dottie DeLite has returned to learning burlesque – it’s like starting all over again. But she is keen to build her strength and take up the specialised skill of dancing with Feather Fans.

Mae de la Rue, veteran Australian burlesque performer and the Head Muse at Muse School of Burlesque has volunteered as Kate’s dance partner, teaching her Feather Fan Dancing in a very special routine just for the Stars of Wollongong. Both are eagerly anticipating the competition on 19 June at WIN Entertainment Centre in front of 700+ to show off some sparkling costumes and fancy feather work.

But before the big night, Kate is also undertaking her fundraising to support the Cancer Council NSW, and the Muses are getting right behind her to help her achieve her goal!

Here’s how you can Shine Bright like Dottie DeLite!
