Guest Muse – Holly Hornet

By September 12, 2023March 16th, 2024No Comments

I’m super excited to welcome to the Muse family, another fabulous teacher, this time based Sydney’s North Shore, the delectable Holly Hornet! Holly comes to Muse with a rich background in burlesque and I’m thrilled to be able to extend Muse in to the Northern Sydney area.

Here comes the rum drinking, booty shaker! Holly Hornet is the fierce burlesque performer with a sting in her tail here to make you hot and bothered.

Pairing scorching heat with genuine sweetness, this Hornet is a spicy model as well as performer. Inspired by burlesque and fetish icons such as Blaze Starr, Tempest Storm, and Bettie Page, she is invested in taking the audience on a journey of self-discovery, reclamation of sexuality, and ultimately…pleasure.

Holly started learning burlesque 7 years ago in burlesque classes with Miss Burlesque Australia 2020/21 Diesel Darling. “Her classes made me feel so comfortable in my skin and really allowed my love of performance to blossom. This is where my true love of burlesque started.” From that point on she’s been learning from some of Australia’s best burlesque performers – Miss Alyssa Kitt, Bella De Jac, Maple Rose, Domino Dejour & Ferri Maya.

Holly has been learning and practicing burlesque for 7 years and performing solo for 5 years, and is currently living in Sydney’s upper north shore. She performs burlesque in Sydney (and sometimes interstate). Holly moved to Melbourne for a few years and felt like that was where she was truly able to flourish and discover who she wanted to be as a person and a performer.

Holly’s performance style is cute but with bite, relishing the juxtaposition between sweet and dangerous. Holly leans towards the classic/traditional inspired acts but they always have something in them that might be a bit unexpected or a bit cheeky.

Burlesque was a way for Holly to get in touch with her body and to start loving how amazing it is. “It’s such a transformative artform and it’s beautiful to leave audiences with a little piece of you every time you put something new onto the stage. Burlesque will always be a part of who I am and who I’ve grown to become.”

Holly has toured to Adelaide Fringe in 2018 & 2019, performed at the International Burlesque Academy Launch Party, won 2nd runner up at ABF New Follies 2022 and most recently was a finalist in Mx Burlesque NSW 2022.

With a derriere like a peach and a smile for miles you won’t mind a little sting from Holly Hornet!
