Based in southern Sydney’s Sutherland Shire, Mae de la Rue is a burlesque showgirl with a love of vintage glamour and Hollywood musicals. Drawing on her theatrical background and bringing a love of storytelling to the stage, Mae’s brand of burlesque is big, glitzy and fun.

In 2018, Mae became the headmistress of the Risque Bizniz – now the Muse School of Burlesque – in Wollongong, going on to teach burlesque to beginner and intermediate dancers of all ages, shapes, sizes and experiences.

Expanding in to the Sutherland Shire in 2019, Mae takes great pleasure helping people of all genders to feel positive about their body, and confident on stage, loving the skin they are in.

Mae de la Rue has performed burlesque around Australia and overseas in New Zealand, and Europe. She has presented her classic traditional acts and neo burlesque routines at festivals including the Australian Burlesque Festival, and the Perth International Burlesque Festival and is a NSW State Finalist in the 2020 national Miss Burlesque Australia competition.

Mae competed in the 2019 Golden Legends Champion Challenge in Florida USA and was named The Golden Stripper.
