There’s nothing we love more than when a student excels and is able to share their love of burlesque with others. Which is why we are so excited for Whoopsadaisy IDGAF to step into a Guest Muse role for our upcoming classes in Wollongong next month!
Once upon a time, a punk babe from the mean streets of the Gong, stumbled onto a random Facebook ad in 2018/19 for Burlesque classes with the Muse School of Burlesque.
From that fateful day she discovered her true love, the artform known as BURLESQUE. Whoopsadaisy IDGAF was born.
While Whoopsadaisy loves and is inspired by the traditional style of burlesque including by Australian artists Kelly Ann Doll, Porcelain Alice, Mae de la Rue and more recently international influence and inspiration from Bella Sin, her passion lies in NEO Burlesque and interpreting burlesque.
In finding her own unique “I Don’t Give A F*ck” attitude in burlesque, artists like Ferri Maya, Bettie Bombshell, Rainbow and Australian Queen of Burlesque Imogen Kelly have inspired her to do Burlesque her way.
Being able to incorporate her love of punk into the world of Burlesque with her ‘F-you!’ attitude is a dream come true.
Her solo acts gleam and sparkle on stage with her punk attitude on display for all to enjoy. She was a recent state finalist in The ApprenTease NSW 2026, and has performed at a number of shows across NSW including Hot n Fresh Burlesque, Velvet Cabaret, This is Me, The Boneyard, and the Muse Showcase to name a few.
Understanding traditional burlesque and where the artform came from builds a solid knowledge to grow from in creating uniquely ‘IDGAF’ signature acts. Now Whoopsadaisy is broadening her horizons and stepping into the teaching spotlight with the Muse School of Burlesque! She remembers how it felt to go to her first classes over 7 years ago, and still attends classes to this day. Teaching Burlesque is another way for her to give back and to help others find their confidence and the joy that Burlesque has brought to her.
